Happy New Year!
Time for some black eyed peas, cabbage and corn bread!
I'm ready to welcome the New Year with my new devotional from Billy Graham. The teapot is a gift from our oldest daughter, Tracey. She knows what her momma likes!
I've been taking down Christmas, piece by piece. Mr D wanted to leave it up for a while longer, he loves the lights and decorations. I do too, but I'm ready to put it away until next year. We are going to leave our tree up with just the lights. We both love the coziness it brings to our living room. Maybe I'll decorate it for the different seasons, not sure yet.
Isn't this the cutest clock ever? Another gift from Tracey and Scott. They found this in a shop while on their family Christmas trip to Colorado.
The grands! They had a great time.
A great scripture to start the New Year.
Until Next Time
I loved the photos and loved your scripture. Amen!! Happy New Year, Mary!
ReplyDeleteI loved this post (I love all your posts, grin). I came home to a clean house and all the Christmas stuff put away...I have to say, I was a little miffed, but its ok...smiles
ReplyDeleteGood your fellows help out !! So many don't.
DeleteI normally like to leave my Christmas decorations up as long as possible but this year seemed so empty and I just wanted to put everything away. So, as of today there are no more remnants of the festive season.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and Mr.D a year of health and much happiness.
Thank you, wishing you the same.
DeleteHi Mary, Happy New Year. I have a pencil thin tree I leave up all year. I decorate it according to the seasons. I just took off the Christmas lights, Nativity and angel ornaments. There are white lights on it and I am going to add my snowmen tomorrow. Feb. I put on Hearts. March-May is Spring decor. End of May-Sept 4 is Patriotic. Sept-Nov is Fall(fall colored lights.) and then Mid Nov-Jan it is back to Christmas. My youngest grand likes to turn on the lights when he comes over. At Christmas I put up trees in every room. The whole kitchen is ginger bread. It does take a few days to take it down and put it away. It is almost 6pm and I just got on my computer. I wanted to do my Bible reading first.I like your new devotion and teapot!
ReplyDeleteYup.. that's an adorable clock! What a nice gift. I don't want to take my tree down either. It went up late this year and I don't feel I got enough out of it this year. It went by too quickly. Happy New Year Mary!
ReplyDeleteThe tree decorated for each season is a great idea. Just the lights alone are so cozy on dark winter evenings.
