Hello, Come on in!
Celebrating Valentine's Day is such a fun thing to do!

It's so nice
To have blogger friends like you!
Jeremiah 31:3
The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying:
“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.
“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.
Pretty flowers from Mr D. ❤️
My little part of the world, here on the Texas coast is going to be hit hard with an Artic blast. Lows being predicted in the teens and low 20's, for a time frame I don't ever remember having in the past. Temps that low for 24 hours and more, we're just not prepared for. Mr D has taken care of outside faucets and our patio plants. Our city and our utility providers have sent emails advising what to do during this time. The city is preparing with trucks filled with a sand mixture to put on overpasses and icy streets, they are advising everyone to stay home and off the roads. Not a problem with Mr D and I, we are hunkered down and as prepared as we can be. I am a winter person, just not this kind of winter.
Mainly, I hope we don't loose power for any length of time because of my oxygen. I have my portable unit all charged up and it can be recharged in the car if necessary. I just hope it doesn't come to that.
The weather map shows this blast is going to affect most of the United States, this is a big event for those of us that live in the south.
Hope everyone stays warm and 'weathers' the storm.
Until Next Time
That sounds a bit frightening. I hope you will be warm and safe.
ReplyDeleteWow! I didn't realize that was coming your way too! We are fine here in Florida...not expecting anything but more rain, but the temps are mild. Praying you won't lose power and that you will be safe and warm. I hope you still can have a wonderful Valentine's Day. Love the beautiful flowers and your door wreath, and the cute bears/decorations! It's fun to celebrate LOVE...love of God for all mankind and for our friends and special loved ones. Hunker down and stay warm and cozy and safe. Love to you today.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary:
ReplyDeleteI love the "For God So Loved The World".
We are under a Winter Weather Advisory.
I hope you all don't lose power!
Have a blessed day.
Brrrrr! Oh Mary, I'm praying you and your family will be spared from the worst of this storm!
ReplyDeleteI was sure surprised when someone wrote on FB where Abilene's all-time low was -7 in 1985. And I was still living there, obviously oblivious. LOL!
Happy Valentine's Day to you and Mr. D!
My teacher sister, in Ohio, has been off for 8 snow days already and they are looking at being off the entire week ahead. It is nasty up there! Stay safe and stay warm!! I pray that your power stays on, Mary! xo
ReplyDeleteStay warm and stay safe! We are staying home for the duration-snowing now and 13 degrees here in the DFW area.
ReplyDeleteThe very cold winter weather seems to be right across Canada and the U.S. also. I saw on the news the dreadful pile-up on the highway in Texas. So terrible. My heart goes out to the injured and the families of those killed.
ReplyDeleteYour photos show such pretty things, especially the heart wreath. I hope you keep your power on for your oxygen etc.
ReplyDeleteLove your Valentine acrostic. A wonderful promise of the Father. Your forecasted temps sound positively balmy to us! We've had -0 temps for several days now. We're wintering in our RV in the foothills of the Cascades in Washington State before moving to Nebraska later in the year. We have had frozen water at the parks hydrant since Thursday. We have been blessed to be able to shower at my husbands office and friends from church have let us fill water bottles for dish-washing and other things. Hopefully it will begin warming up by next weekend. That's what we're praying for. God is still watching out for us with good friends and people helping us out. We are blessed. My heart goes out to the people all over the country that are affected by the horrible roads and ice.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Beautiful flower from Mr. D. Oh I will pray for you both during this winter storm Miss Mary. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentines Day to you Mary. Stay warm....we are having ice here today so it is all over the place in the south. It should be gone by Wednesday hopefully.
