Wednesday Wisdom

It wasn't my best day and it wasn't my worst day.

Obladi, Oblada, life goes on, brah
Lala, how the life goes on
Obladi, Oblada, life goes on, brah
Lala, how the life goes on

Yesterday afternoon when I let Buddy outside I decided to step out for a few minutes just to assess the porch and yard after the storm.  After a few minutes Buddy was ready to go in,  but when I went to the door. . .

.. . . I had locked myself out.

Drats

I knew Mr D would never hear me knocking because he probably had his headset on listening to music.  But I knocked anyway, and I knocked, and I knocked.  Sometimes it isn't good when you're right.  {{sigh}}  Everything on the porch had been put away because of the storm, the only chair out was soaking wet, no place to sit and ponder what to do next.

I  did manage to sit on this cinder block, for how long I do not know.  Moments felt like hours.  I was in my pj's, barefooted and without my oxygen, alas, I'm in a predicament!

Buddy was sensing my distress and he was becoming anxious and clingy.

(Bitsy wasn't involved in this escapade, but it might hurt her feelings if I don't include her picture too.)

As I pondered I came to one conclusion, I was going to have to walk around the house, in the rain, barefooted, without my oxygen and knock on Mr D's window.   Oh my, thank goodness for privacy fencing! lol

He heard my the knocking !!!

  Stress level coming down!

He was just opening the door as I came around the house,

He greeted me with, "Did you lock yourself out?"

Duh, no I just did this for fun.

Today's wisdom

Don't lock your self out of the house on rainy days after a storm when all the patio furniture in put away, and your husband wears a headset.

Until Next Time

  1. Oh my! I can see where that would be a stressful situation. I'm sure glad he heard you knocking on his window.
Love picture of Bitsy and Buddy. How old are they? They are cuties.

  4. Oh dear!!! What a predicament indeed! So glad Mr. D was inside and not somewhere else!! So glad even though you got wet and uncomfortable, at least it wasn't in the worst of the storm, I assume. So thankful you were safe and all is well. Perhaps a hidden outdoor key might be in order? Just a thought...

    1. We do have a hidden key outside but where we hide it was taken to the garage during the storm!! Yes indeed, all's well that ends well.
