July 29th - Word: Flip Flops
For this word I had to go to the internet for my picture. I don't own a pair of flip flops, I don't like them and I don't wear them.
Monday Coffee Talk
I don't have much to talk about today.
We’ve settled into one of those hot, lazy stretches here on the Texas Gulf Coast — the kind where the air feels heavy and the days drift by slow and quiet.
Heat and Humidity = Uncomfortable!
We've been staying home and staying cool, living day by day as the Lord provides. He certainly provides what we need, right when we need it, and these quiet summer days remind me to rest in that steady goodness.
The house is cool and peaceful which is a blessing, one of those things that God has provided.
So that’s my Monday — Just living gently and letting
the Lord guide each day as it comes.
Time for me to catch up on July Photo-a-day with ChrissyT.

Today's Word: Far Away
My photo today has been shared before, but it fits today's 'far away' theme so I'm sharing again.
The Kemah bridge 'far away' in the background, this photo was also taken by our SIL Scott.
July 26th - 9 o'clock
Nine o’clock isn’t just a number on a clock — it’s a feeling. At nine, my house settles into its rhythm: coffee in hand, shadows stretching the floor from the morning sun, and the day deciding what kind of story it wants to tell.

Today's Word: Close Up
We are very thankful that TS Bertha didn't give us any issues. In fact, it veered just enough to put us on the clean side. Even the dirty side of the storm lessened before landfall. Even though the area south of us got a lot of thunderstorms and gusty winds the storm wasn't as bad as it good have been.
Tammy stopped by for a few minutes, it's so good to have her home. I don't think they are planning another trip until the fall.
Peggy & Hank were here for a while. Peggy is helping Mr D put an item for sale on ebay.
Hank and I sat in the living room and played on our phones! I have several game apps that I enjoy.
What's for Lunch?
Ribs, potato salad, some left over slaw and sliced tomatos, with a glass of iced tea.
I like this quote from Max Lucado,
“God never said the
journey would be easy, but He did say the arrival would be worthwhile.”
This is a great reminder
that the hard days don’t mean we’ve wandered off God’s path. They’re simply the
hills and bends of a road He already knows by heart. He walks every mile with
us, steady as sunrise, patient as grace.

Today's Word: Red
I have shared many photos of the red in my home. When I saw 'red' as today's challenge I wanted to share something different. This magazine has been on my shelf for many years, the copyright date is November 25, 2002. It's a great magazine that I enjoy thumbing through every now and again.

Today's Word: animal/insect
My photo today was taken a few years ago by Tammy. She had just arrived at the house when she noticed a hawk perched on the street light. At the time we had Bitsy Baby and Buddy Boy and I was always alert to hawks flying around because they are famous for diving at little creatures.

Today's Word: On The Shelf
Someone ask me what I did with my diamond art when I finished them. I've done too many to hang so they go into my portfolio to be enjoyed when the mood strikes!
