Monday, Monday, so good to me
Monday mornin', it was all I hoped it would be. . .

Another Monday, another day of staying home.

Mr D and I did go for a ride late yesterday afternoon.  Our son rode with us and it was nice to get out for a while.  We went to Dairy Queen for ice cream and drove down to Sylvan Beach and people watched.  Yes, there were people out and about but not near as many as usual.  We sat in the car, talked and listened to the radio.
It was a nice outing.

Our Son cooked dinner for us, a roast in the crockpot with carrots, mushrooms and potatoes.  I don't know what seasonings he used but that roast was delicious and so tender.
Thanks Rusty!

If you've followed my blog for any length of time you know I love music and poems.  I was looking for a poem that might talk to us in today's virus world.  I was looking at poems by Helen Steiner Rice, one of my favorite poets and I wasn't finding exactly what I wanted.  I was on her webpage when I suddenly wasn't....that happens to me often....I think I was led by God because the first poem I saw was perfect and the author is unknown.
The Lor
The Lord’s love and protection
Are never so far,
That he cannot reach us
Wherever we are.
His arm outstretched
Like an eagle’s wing,
Ever hovering with the love
And care he brings.
Enlightened by his strength
And comforting power,
We may rest and be assured
Every day, every hour.

Author Unknown

But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31

Until Next Time

  1. Helen Steiner Rice is one of my favorite poets. I have a few of her books and read a couple of her poems at my mom's funeral since she liked her too. Nice that your son cooked you dinner. Our son's can cook too. I think we need a ride somewhere too, but it rained most of last week and rain had come back through Monday. We sure do need the rain! Happy Monday!
