Do I want to go outside and enjoy my morning coffee on the porch?
Nah, I think I'll stay in where it's cool . . .
. . . . and enjoy my house plants.
I've been staying busy this summer working jigsaw puzzles. I love working them and it gives me something to do.
I've had a puzzle on my puzzle board every day since May 1st.
Ava and Emma enjoy puzzles too!!
Mr D and I are going to be great grandparents again,
he's due in September!
Hazel is going to be a big sister!
Holy Ground
When Neil Armstrong (said to be a devout Christian) was visiting the Holy Land, he asked his guide if it was certain that Jesus had walked these very steps up to the Temple Mount. Assured that He must have, Armstrong said, “Then I have to tell you, I am more excited stepping on these stones than I was stepping on the moon.”
Until Next Time
Your porch looks like a lovely place to sit.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun post. Love the glimpses of your porch, (so cozy), and your inside plant too. These hot days are much easier to spend inside aren't they? Congratulations on a new great-grandchild. There is nothing more exciting than a new baby in the family. The puzzle is very cute with the kittens all crawling around. I'm not a puzzle person but nearly everyone I know is.
ReplyDeleteI loved the quote about Neil Armstrong. If only we all realized that we're walking on Holy Ground most days since the Holy Spirit is within us.
Blessings,
Betsy
Congrats on the new Great-Grandblessing! Exciting!
ReplyDeleteGrace & Peace,
Pam
Hooray for Hazel Kay becoming a big sister!! What fun they will have together! She is so adorable! Love your porch, but I agree, this is not porch sitting time right now here in Florida or in Texas! Practically not anywhere this week! I love that you and your girls love to do puzzles! I should get mine out and do them. Good idea. Thank you for writing again. I am so happy to see you here.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't aware that Neil Armstrong said that. We don't have many men like him in the world today, that can openly say things like that and not back down.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Hazel is SO CUTE!! Look at the pony and the sandals and the bracelet!! What a girly girl and she will make a great big sister!! Congrats!! Mary, I love your porch from the window, inside where it is cool and comfortable! Hugs!! xo
ReplyDeleteI enjoy working puzzles too.Did several in the winter.
ReplyDeleteAnother great- grand baby; that's exciting. We used to do a lot of jigsaw puzzles but my vision is such that I can't do them any more.
